A juicy meat patty is basically the core of a burger. You can’t really call a burger a burger when it doesn’t even have a patty? I and my husband gave veggie burger a try though, since lately we are all up for greens and health and goodness. And we are surprisingly amazed at how much a good veggie burger could taste like the real burger, the same juiciness and the flavoursome texture, but with a fresher and less greasy sensation.
The 50s-Inspired American Diner Setting
Conveniently located on Stanley Street in Central, the unique American vintage decor creates a quirky setting for diners to enjoy their healthy veggie meals. The combination of blue walls, exposed wooden benches and a number of collectibles creates a 1950s ambiance.
‘I am Fabulous’ Veggie Burger (HK$168)
The ‘I am Fabulous’ burger (HK$168) comes with salad, soup and some thick and succulent potato wedges. While the patty itself is made of beetroot, lentil, cashew nuts and mushroom. But seriously, you couldn’t taste any of those at all. It’s all blended so well together and it turned out a very complex texture that tastes very much just like meat.
In addition to the succumptious patty, there’s also homemade soy basil mayo, alfalfa, onion, tomato, and cheese (and it’s VEGAN CHEESE how awesome does that sound!).
Some other veggie dishes to try…
The restaurant also serve a whole other ranges of veggie dishes, such as Black Truffle Creamy Sauce Spaghetti with Portobello and Asparagus, Pho in Cali style, ‘Soy Nam Chicken’ with yellow rice, All Day Breakfast, and more. We haven’t tried out any of them yet but we are pumped to try them out soon!
