Hong Kong might not have a lot of gigs and bands, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have any good ones. The Gig Week Hong Kong is throwing a new and 100% local week-long music festival, bringing 26 Hong Kong local bands to perform at 7 venues over 7 days, from June 18-24.
With the intention to bring together international and local music lovers and to gather fans of different genres, the music will not only limit to the much-loved local genres such as pop and post-rock but will include also metal, hip hop and techno. Each genre will have its own night of the week at its own livehouse.
The Gig Week Timetable:
Sunday (18th June)- Opening Showcase with a variety of mix by The Interzone Collective, Sexy Hammer, Le Groupe Electrogène Fanfare Club, The Zero Point | 1563 at The East (Wanchai)
Monday – Acoustic by Esimorp and 9 Maps | The Hive Studios (Kennedy Town)
Tuesday – Hip Hop by Dough-Boy, The Low Mays, Kada.C, 7On7 | XXX Gallery (Tai Kok Tsui)
